Melbourne street/pop artist Ed Bechervaise is continuing his series of debauched twenty-something-chaos paintings under the alias of “Unwell Bunny”, this time at RTist gallery in Melbourne. Hanging one of these paintings in your living room is able to soothe your quarter life crisis in a way that only fresh cocaine off a lightly tanned stripper breast can, but lasts longer and won’t attract the same dick riding fair-weather friends, although some of you might be into that.
Anyway, I’m stoked to see Unwell in a gallery that is gaining a reputation for hosting the freshest young Australian talent. As we all know, this unfortunately means you may have to dodge a social barnacle or two, but you should be able to tiptoe around the box-fresh Supras and self-conscious screw faces to find enough room to swing a free beer while checking out one of my favorite and one of the most interesting young artists in Melbourne today.
PS Pretty sure if anything about that description of my quarter-life crisis rang true for you, this show was made for you–I mean us– OK I really mean me.
